| Tallman Transports Limited is a family owned and operated
truck transportation business located in Welland, Ontario. The
company was founded in 1935 by Mr. Grant Tallman, and was originally
located in Allanburg, Ontario. Mr. Tallman operated a single
truck, servicing the agricultural market, primarily transporting
hay and straw throughout the local area. In the mid 50's, son
Lynn Tallman became actively involved and together they operated
the company on the principle of customer satisfaction |
| The Tallman Family, second and third generation, is actively
involved in the day to day management of the company. Presently,
the company operates more than 50 tractors and 225 trailers, employing
70 people at its Welland facility. The business today focuses
primarily on the automotive, steel, and construction industries, and
the company operates throughout all of Canada and Continental
U.S. A large percentage of the freight transported is containered
for intermodal transport. |
